Life, Work and Influencing Change This page outlines the Life, Work and Influencing Change Theme which is funded under the Lough Neagh Strategic Fund. Aim The Life, Work and Influencing Change Theme aims to ensure a vibrant, thriving, knowledgeable and appreciative local population that will act as future custodians of the Lough Neagh Wetlands. Project Types LW 1.1 – Support for the start up of indigenous businesses. We would like to fund a number of strategic projects dealing with the development of small arts and craft businesses using local resources. BSP Measure number to put on Application Form A: Measure 4.10.
LW 1.2 – Water based recreation businesses We would like to fund a number of strategic projects dealing with development of water based recreation businesses such as canoe hire, day hire boats or passenger vessels. BSP Measure number to put on Application Form A: Measure 4.10.
LW 1.3 – Land based recreation business We would like to fund a number of strategic projects dealing with land based recreation businesses such as cycle hire or walking tours. BSP Measure number to put on Application Form A: Measure 4.10.
LW 1.4 – Pilot cruiser hire business We would like to fund a number of strategic projects that will demonstrate the potential for the operation of a cruiser boat hire service on the Lough system. BSP Measure number to put on Application Form A: Measure 4.10.
LW 1.5 – Production of information on local place names, culture and customs We would like to fund a number of strategic projects dealing with the development of a book or pamphlet of local information to provide an educational resource for locals and tourists alike. LW 1.6 – Lough Neagh festivals support We would like to fund a number of strategic projects dealing with the development of one Lough Neagh wide festival and other smaller local festivals over a five year period. BSP Measure number to put on Application Form A: Measure 4.7.
LW 1.7 – Wetlands educational projects We would like to fund a number of strategic educational projects for schools and local communities such as habitat creation to increase the appreciation for the local environment. BSP Measure number to put on Application Form A: Measure 4.11.
