This page outlines the Landscape Theme which is funded under the Lough Neagh Strategic Fund.

Aim

The Landscape Theme aims to maintain and enhance the characteristic landscape features of the wetlands while ensuring environmental, economic and social sustainability. 

Project Types

L 1.1 – Production of educational/promotional material on the built and natural landscape of the wetlands

We would like to fund a number of strategic projects dealing with the production of educational material to promote the Lough Neagh wetlands to visitors and locals.

L 1.2 – Reinstatement/refurbishment of landmark built heritage

We would like to fund a number of strategic projects dealing with the consolidation a number of landmark buildings in the Lough Neagh wetlands. Buildings could include ceilidh, lock houses or gate lodges.

L 1.3 – Support for the blending of buildings into the local landscape following best practice advice

We would like to fund a number of strategic projects dealing with the screening of obtrusive structures using native species.

We would like to fund a number of strategic projects dealing with community managed campaigns to improve the appearance of small settlements.
